jawbone Eating Better with Nutritional Tracking

We’re proud to announce an exciting new partnership with Jawbone that will make it ridiculously easy for you to track the nutritional data of your Munchery meals on your Jawbone UP app.

Now, when you order from Munchery, detailed nutritional data will be securely transmitted to your Jawbone UP app. If you don’t own a Jawbone UP band, we highly recommend that you go out and pick one up. Using your UP app, you’ll be able see exactly what goes into each Munchery meal, from calories to carbs to fiber. In addition, we’re including our gorgeous photography in your UP feed, so you can have a visual history of what you ate on Munchery.  Check out this page to learn how to connect your Munchery to your Jawbone Up

Today’s announcement is the beginning of a partnership that will bring together Munchery’s technology with Jawbone’s wearables ecosystem. We’ve always felt a strong kinship with the talented team at Jawbone, especially with their focus on delivering an exceptional user experience to drive health and fitness. There’s a bright future ahead with Munchery and Jawbone working together.

Finally, I want to thank our Munchery culinary and engineering teams. Our new capability to quantify mountains of nutritional data from a daily changing menu is the culmination of a year-long effort. It would have been easy to estimate a calorie count and slap it on a meal – this is unfortunately all too common in our industry. Instead, we took up the challenge to measure, record, and audit every ingredient we use. Transparency rules.

This is just the beginning. Munchery is going to make it even easier for you to make decisions based on your dietary needs. We’ll have more to share soon. Stay tuned!

Are you going to also make the nutritional info available on the website? I shouldn’t have to buy a jawbone to know whats in my food, you should include nutrional info on your website as well.

I totally agree with this. I appreciate the partnership and everything — but we deserve to know what’s nutritionally in our food.

Hi Amber, our nutritional information is now public on our desktop site (http://mnch.in/3Uxa/4lR56u1P). It’s coming soon on iOS as well.

Hi Keith, each meal’s nutritional information is now public on our desktop site (http://mnch.in/3Uxa/4lR56u1P). It’s coming soon on iOS as well.

Perfect! I never would have guessed that today’s Duck Breast has almost twice the calories as the Porchetta! Very helpful, thank-you!

  • Muncher

Wonderful that you are analyzing the food content so thoroughly! Please put this info on the website! I would also appreciate knowing other details about food sourcing where available, like where the fish come from and how they are caught, where veggies are grown, etc. Munchery is awesome and that additional info would make us locavores very happy.

      Hi Muncher,

Absolutely.! It’s being worked on right now. We had a lot of initiatives launch yesterday and we just ran out of time to include it, but it’s coming very, very soon.

The link is not working. Please let me know where to find nutritional info for your meals. Thanks.

I would love to have more meals available for those who are on “special” diets. I eat a no-dairy, no-gluten, no-sugar, no-soy diet and find it hard to fit many of the choices into my eating style. Those that I have found are so delicious! Just wish there were more of them!

They posted some time ago that nutritional information is coming.

an alert system would be a great feature also. i know that nut-free, gluten-free, etc. are listed next to each selection, but with a peanut allergy in our family, you can’t be too careful.

Seconding Keith Webb, below: It’s kind of awful that you have the nutritional information, and you have the ability to share it (obviously, since you’re sharing it with Jawbone), but the rest of us who use non-Jawbone trackers/services just have to suck it up.

I hope you honestly do plan to fix this soon.

      Hi Glenn,

Yes we do plan on making it available to everyone soon. It’s being worked on right now. We had a lot of initiatives launch yesterday, including launching in Seattle and launching on-demand on the same-day. We simply ran out of time, but it’s coming very, very soon.

      Thanks for your patience!

This is great! One of the main reasons I haven’t ordered from Munchery yet is because I’m counting calories and I don’t know the calorie content of any of the meals. I will definitely be using your service once the nutritional info is made available!

What about us FitBit users? I don’t want to have to buy ANOTHER wearable tech device!
